ALASKA SIGHTSEEING/CRUISE WEST

This fleet of six small ships explores the waters of Alaska, the Pacific Northwest and California. The focus is on nature and close-up encounters with animals in their natural habitats. The line also offers cruises up the Sacramento Delta and into California's Wine Country.

AMERICAN HAWAII CRUISES

American Hawaii Cruises' historic ship, the Independence, is the only American-flagged ocean liner currently sailing. The line offers seven-day cruises through the Hawaiian Islands, featuring authentic Hawaiian traditions, culture, food, entertainment, artwork and language. Shore excursions, for example "Hawaiiana Tours and Hikes," provide passengers with an in-depth experience of place, people and history.

BERGEN LINE

Bergen Line's Norwegian Coastal Voyage features six-, seven- and 12-day itineraries along the scenic west coast of Norway on an authentic coastal steamer. For over I00 years, this popular journey has been offering travelers a unique combination of history, culture and incredible vistas, while serving as a lifeline to small communities found along Norway's coast.

CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES

Miami-based Carnival Cruise Lines operates 11 "Fun Ships" carrying over 1.4 million guests annually. The "Fun Ship" concept revolves around the idea of offering a relaxed, casual atmosphere featuring a variety of activities and entertainment to appeal to guests of all ages and backgrounds. Carnival is known for Caribbean cruising, and also offers Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska and Panama Canal cruises.

CELEBRITY CRUISES, INC.

Celebrity's five-star fleet has set the standard for premium cruising with its award-winning cuisine designed by international master chef, Michel Roux; sophisticated AquaSpa programs, and exceptional service, quality and value. Celebrity's six vessels (with the Mercury to debut in fall 1997) cruise to Alaska, Bermuda, the Caribbean, Trans-Canal, South America, South Pacific and Europe in 1998.

CLIPPER CRUISES

This three-ship cruise line offers itineraries in North and South America and Europe where the focus is on nature, culture and history. The ships are small-carrying less than 200 passengers.

COMMODORE CRUISE LINE

The Big Easy is home port for Commodore Cruise Line's Enchanted Isle, which sails year-round from New Orleans. The Saturday to Saturday cruise visits ports in Mexico, Grand Caymans and Jamaica. Travel-Holiday recently named Commodore "Top Value for the Money." The cruise line has been a favorite for more than 28 years for new and repeat passengers.

COSTA CRUISE LINES

As Europe's No. 1 cruise line, Costa's international fleet of six ships offer cruises from five- to 16-nights throughout the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, South America, and Transatlantic. Costa passengers visit exotic ports of call while enjoying the friendliness and warmth of "Cruising Italian Style."

CRYSTAL CRUISES

Los Angeles-based Crystal Cruises offers six-star service aboard Crystal Harmony and Crystal Symphony, both of which feature elegantly-appointed staterooms (most with private verandahs). Itineraries focus on Alaska/Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, New England/Canada, Orient/South Pacific, Africa, Europe, South America and a World Cruise. Recently, Crystal Cruises received the "World's Best Cruise Line" award from the readers of Travel & Leisure magazine.

CUNARD LINE

Cunard provides the only regularly scheduled transatlantic service aboard its flagship, Queen Elizabeth 2, as well as cruises to the Caribbean, Bermuda, Canada and Europe. Ports visited by the line's five other vessels include the South Pacific, South America, the Panama Canal, the Mexican Riviera, the Mediterranean/Greek Isles and Alaska.

DELTA QUEEN STEAMBOAT CO.

Delta Queen Steamboat Co., the oldest U.S. flag cruise line, was founded in 1890. It operates America's only authentic, steam-powered paddle wheelers: the National Historic Landmark Delta Queen, recently refurbished Mississippi Queen and grand American Queen, the world's largest steamboat. The line offers two- to 14-night river cruise vacations, steeped in romance, adventure and history, on nine major inland waterways.

DISNEY CRUISE LINE

Beginning in early 1998, with the debut of Disney Magic, Disney Cruise Line will offer seven-day land and sea vacations: three or four days at a Wait Disney World Resort plus a three- or four-day cruise from Port Canaveral to Nassau and Castaway Cay, Disney's private Bahamian island. The line's second ship, the Disney Wonder, enters service in December 1998.

DOLPHIN CRUISE LINE

Dolphin Cruise Line offers the value-conscious customer personalized service, a variety of itineraries, exciting entertainment and award-winning menus. Dolphin's three vessels cruise to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, the Panama Canal, the Bahamas, Blue Lagoon Island, Key West, Mexico and Canada.

GLACIER BAY TOURS & CRUISES

This three-ship cruise line offers soft-adventure cruises, with sea kayaking and naturalist hikes among the activities offered. The ships hold from 36 to 86 passengers.

HOLLAND AMERICA LINE

Holland America Line's eight vessels offer premium luxury cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Europe, the South Pacific, Hawaii, the Orient, New England/Eastern Canada and around the world. Featuring world-class cuisine, entertainment and service, Holland America has been given the "Best Cruise Value" award from the World Ocean & Cruise Liner Society for the last four years.

KD RIVER CRUISES

Luxury river cruises on the central waterways of Europe and Russia, with stops at some of the more famous cities of the Old World.

MAJESTY CRUISE LINE

Majesty Cruise Line's attention to detail is reflected in impeccable service, fine cuisine and Las Vegas-style shows. The Royal Majesty offers three- and four-night cruises from Miami to the Bahamas, Key West and Mexico. From May to October, the ship features a seven-night itinerary, sailing from Boston to Bermuda.

NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE

Norwegian Cruise Line's modern fleet of seven vessels sails on itineraries to the Caribbean, Bermuda, Alaska, Europe, Mediterranean, Scandinavia, Mexico and the Bahamas. NCL is widely known for its theme and Sports Afloat cruises, Broadway-caliber entertainment and fine cuisine. NCL's marketing program promises consumers that "It's Different Out Here."

OCEANIC CRUISES

Oceanic Cruises' Oceanic Grace offers a variety of upscale cruises in and around the islands of Japan and along the China coast. Ports of call include Guam, The Micronesia Islands, Saipan, Tokyo, Vietnam, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Okinawa, Manila, Singapore, Jakarta and Bali.

ORIENT LINES

Orient Lines specializes in offering destination-oriented cruise vacations at affordable prices to ports in Mediterranean, Indian Ocean, Far East, South Pacific, Greek Isles and Antarctica. Hotel stays and sightseeing in embarkation/disembarkation cities are included. Longer itineraries feature guest lecturers, gentlemen hosts and local cultural performances. Ships: Marco Polo, Ocean Majesty.

PETER DEILMANN EUROPAMERICA CRUISES

Luxury river boats cruises on the Danube, Rhone, Elbe, Rhine and other major European waterways, with port visits to many of the legendary cities of the Old World.

PREMIER CRUISE LINES

The Big Red Boat's fleet is known for its award-winning and comprehensive youth programs for children ages 2-17. Cruises combine a three- or four-day stay in the Bahamas with three- or four-day packages to the Wait Disney Resort theme parks, Universal Studios Florida and Sea World. Looney Tunes characters entertain families on every sailing.

PRINCESS CRUISES

It all started with the Love Boat, a television series that catapulted cruising to the forefront of consumer consciousness. The line now has nine ships, and offers nearly 150 itineraries calling at over 200 ports worldwide. Cruise destinations include the Caribbean, Alaska, Panama Canal, Mexico, South Pacific, Hawaii/Tahiti, Europe/Holy Land, Asia/Orient, India, Africa, South America/Amazon and Canada/New England.

RADISSON SEVEN SEAS CRUISES

Radisson Seven Seas Cruises offers luxurious, small ship experiences with high standards of service, quality and value. The twin-hull, 350 guest Radisson Diamond sails the Baltic, Mediterranean, and Panama Canal and Costa Rica; the 172 guest Song of Flower offers itineraries in Asia, Arabia, Europe, Scandinavia and Russia; and the Hanseatic and Bremen sail the Americas, Europe, Antarctica and Africa. And the latest ship, the super-luxurious Paul Gauguin, will cruise the waters around Tahiti.

REGAL CRUISES

The Regal Empress sails out of Port Manatee to Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Key West, Grand Cayman and Montego Bay. During the spring and summer, the ship cruises out of New York to Provincetown, Mass.; St. Andrews, Canada; Newport, R.I., and Hamilton, Bermuda. The line also offers cruises to nowhere.

RENAISSANCE CRUISES

This line of small, deluxe vessels sails to almost every corner of the world, and puts its efforts into direct-mail selling of cruises.

ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE LINE

Royal Caribbean is one of the world's largest cruise lines operating 10 ships with a total capacity of 16,800 passengers. In 1996, the award-winning fleet offers 54 itineraries and 134 destinations in the Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda, Baja Mexico, Mexican Riviera, Panama Canal, Alaska, Hawaii, Mediterranean, Europe, British Isles, Norway, Scandinavia, Russia, the Far East and Southeast Asia.

ROYAL OLYMPIC CRUISE

Royal Olympic Cruises, the largest Greek-flag cruise line, offers destination-oriented itineraries on friendly, intimate ships. The line specializes in the Greek Islands and Eastern Mediterranean, but also sails to ports in the Western Mediterranean, Black Sea, Baltic Sea and Northern Europe. During the winter months, the fleet repositions for warm weather cruises in the Caribbean, Panama Canal and South America.

SEABOURN CRUISE LINE

Seabourn Cruise Line's three all-suite, luxury vessels, the Pride, the Spirit and the Legend, offer itineraries in North and South America, Alaska, the Caribbean, the British Isles, Europe, Scandinavia, the Mediterranean, East Africa, Asia, the Orient, India, Seychelles, Australia and the South Pacific. Most cruises are 14 days. Cruises range from three to 109 days.

SEAWIND CRUISE LINE

Seawind Cruise Line offers seven-night "South Seas" of the Caribbean cruises every Sunday from Aruba with an international guest list. The line also free offers free-seven night Aruba hotel stays either before or after the cruise.

SILVERSEA CRUISES

Ultra-luxury sister ships Silver Cloud and Silver Wind journey to all comers of the globe -- Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa, India, the Far East, Vietnam, the South Pacific, South America, Canada/New England. The ships carry 296 guests in suites, 75 percent of which feature private verandahs. The award-winning line is distinguished by its all-inclusive fares, genuine hospitality and intriguing itineraries.

This three-ship line offers fascinating itineraries around the world, with a focus on nature, culture and history.

STAR CLIPPERS

This line has two magnificent sailing vessels that sail the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and off the coast of Thailand. The cabins are comfortable, for sailing ships, and the itineraries are excellent.

SWAN-HELLENIC CRUISES

Adventure and cultural cruises, with a great lineup of lecturers and experts, on the Nile and around the world.

WINDJAMMER BAREFOOT CRUISES

This line of graceful sailing ships is known for its casual atmosphere and its parties. These ships are not for those seeking luxurious travel and quiet vacations.

WINDSTAR CRUISES

The line's three vessels offer itineraries in Costa Rica, French Polynesia, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. Special voyages and holiday cruises are offered as well. Windstar, already known for its signature cuisine by Chef Joachim Splichal, is introducing a lighter fare developed by healthy cooking expert Jeanne Jones.
